Ronald Edward Lippert, 76, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on May 3, 2017.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marion Russ Lippert.
Ronald worked as an electrical engineer for General Electric and Lockheed Martin, in such places as Utica, Valley Forge and Fort Worth.
Ron graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in electrical engineering and later received his Professional Engineering License. He volunteered at CW Jamestown Settlement (ship program) and was an instructor at Christopher Wren Association. He also participated in 2006 and 2007 sails...

He volunteered at CW Jamestown Settlement (ship program) and was an instructor at Christopher Wren Association. He also participated in 2006 and 2007 sails on the east coast for Jamestown 400 Celebration and the filming of the movie, "The New World." Ronald retired to Williamsburg in 2000. He was an avid computer enthusiast, and enjoyed making computer movies. Ron and Louise also loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Murphy Lippert; son, Sean Lippert (Qin); daughter, Sherry Chartier (Michael); grandchildren, Tyler Scott, Allie Scott and Leyla Lippert; and his cats, Noir and Orange.
A memorial service will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00p.m. A private ceremony of inurnment will be held at Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
